Unique Engagement Photo Ideas!
Your engagement photoshoot is a time to let loose and have fun! Save those typical posed pictures for your wedding day and pick an exciting place to take some stunning shots. Here are a few of my favorite ideas.
1. An Amusement Park!
2. Outdoor Shopping Center!
An outdoor shopping center is a beautiful place for pictures. Make your photos fun with a backdrop of water fountains, restaurants, and shops. Check out some photos from Furious Photographers and Kenny Kim taken at The Grove in L.A.
3. A Pier!
A pier is a fabulous place to take your engagement pictures. From rides to cotton candy, you and your fiance will have a blast! Here are a few pictures from Maria Vicencio, Adrienne Gunde and Luis Godinez.
4. Your Hobbies!
Whether it's traveling, going to the movies, attending sporting events or sharing ice cream on a Sunday afternoon, hobbies are a great way to capture some wonderful moments. You can also take a few shots at the place your fiance proposed or where you had your first date. Here are a few unique pictures by Allegro Photography, Hawthrone Photography, and Jay Jay Studios.
5. Add Props!
Adding props to your shoot is a great way to make your pictures unique and fun. Here are some ideas for props, the options are endless. Photographs by Ravenberg Photography, Stephanie Williams Photography, Holli B Photography, Photographs by Anjuli, Carson Hall Photography, and Jay Jay Studios.
6. Museums are another great place to take pictures! The Getty in Los Angeles has breathtaking views of the ocean and gardens that will make your pictures wonderful. LACMA is known for their lamp post exhibit that provides you with a unique backdrop for your engagement shoot (make sure your photographer has the proper lighting equipment if your shoot is at night). The Union Station is great for a vintage style shoot and be sure to check out the Walt Disney Concert Hall for some gorgeous shots!

This picture truly captures the vintage feel of the union station (even though it is not from an engagement shoot). For more pictures check out Amber Katrina's website and blog www.amberkatrina.com
