DIY Romantic Hair!
Whether you want a romantic look for Valentine's Day or you want to do your own wedding day hair, this post is just for you! You can do your own romantic hairstyle at home and no one would ever know you didn't get it professionally done. Here are a few of my favorite celebrity hairstyles that can be easily recreated!
Here is how to recreate Taylor's romantic updo.
First apply volumizing mouse or spray to damp hair.
Blow dry hair upside down using fingers to achieve natural wavy hair.
Apply BigSexyHair Spray and Play to hair.
Part hair into sections and curl using a 1/2 inch barrel. Instead of clipping your hair into curling iron, slowly wrap your hair around the iron with your fingers starting at the base.
After you finish curling all the sections, apply smoothing serum to your hair. I like Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell.
Side part your hair and gather it into a low loose ponytail using a hairband that matches your hair color. Don't pull your hair too tightly! Let your hair fall over your ears like the picture shows. You can use the pointy end of a tooth comb to loosen strands that you have pulled too tightly. Leave a few strands in the front to frame your face.
To get the updo start bobby pinning strands around the ponytail. Try to pin around the ponytail to conceal the hairband. Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect because being messy is what makes it romantic! If you are doing your own wedding day hair, have someone help you with the last step to achieve a professional looking hairdo.

Websites that offer prom hairstyles are a great resource! To get this look, curl hair with a 1 inch barrel and braid it ( use a hair band that matches your hair color). Leave some strands in the front to frame your face.
The best part about a romantic hairstyle is that it doesn't have to be perfect! Taylor Swift's updo is undone and messy, but that is what makes it romantic and feminine! Check below for step by step instructions to get this look.
I love these half up hairstyles and they are so easy to recreate! Curl hair with 1/2 or 1 inch barrel depending on your preferred style. Tease the crown of your hair using a comb and hairspray. Divide your hair from ear to ear and use bobby pins to secure the top half into place.
