New Brides Guide to Thanksgiving!
The holiday season is upon us and Thanksgiving is right around the corner! If you are a newly wed you may be hosting your first Thanksgiving dinner in your new home. This can be an exciting yet daunting so I hope this post will help those of you who may need some shortcuts this holiday season. Happy Planning!
The Meal:
Turkey is a staple for Thanksgiving yet it is the most time consuming part of the meal. Want to know a secret??? You don't have to spend hours basting the bird....save yourself the headache and order your turkey this year. Neiman Marcus makes a delicious wood smoked turkey that only needs 2 to 3 hours to cook. Trust me on this one, you won't regret it!
The Decor:
You don't have to break the bank to decorate your home this season. Painted pumpkins are a cheap and easy way to decorate. Alternate gold and copper spray paints to accent your table. Mini pumpkins also make perfect place cards.
The Dessert:
Trader Joe's is famous for their pumpkin flavor goodies during this season. My favorite by far is their mini pumpkin pies. Just bake them in the oven for a few minutes and you have delicious single serving desserts for your guests to enjoy!
