Between Barcelona Bridal Week and the release of the newest Spring collections... bridal gown trends are starting to leek over the net!
It seems as though Vintage Hollywood and classical Spanish influences are making their showcase on the runway this Spring.
"Vintage-inspired wedding dresses have long been popular in bride land and we’re predicting that this year will be dedicated to the decade of the 1920s. We’ll be seeing many 2013 brides embodying “flapper style” with loose, flowing dresses and no lack of lace and beaded embellishments. BHLDN – always on top of their vintage bridal game – filled their latest bridal collection with art deco style and Roaring Twenties inspiration. "
Red is the new black in 2013! Red gowns are also making their statement this season. Oscar de la Renta featured various shades of red on the bridal runway ranging from deep velvet to bright red hues in various fabrics. Inspiration for this trend is the red Chinese wedding dress which symbolizes prosperity and love. Other designers taking a cue from China's traditions are Vera Wang and Romona Keveza!
Other trends that are making appearances are the classic one shoulder, big and bold embellishments, and whipped frothy skirts!
